By Road:
Salford Cathedral is situated on Chapel Street (A6), Salford. The postcode is M3 5LL. There are several major connecting routes from nearby motorway networks. The Cathedral is situated close to the University of Salford near to the junction of Chapel Street and Oldfield Road/Adelphi Street.
M1 (from South) — exit at Junction 42 and follow M62 westbound.
M62 (from West) — at Junction 12 carry straight on following signs for M602. Follow M602 to Junction 3 signposted Salford/Trafford Park. Keep in inside lane and turn left on to A5063 (Albion Way). Follow signposts for Salford/Pendleton. At second lights, turn right on to A6 and the Cathedral is on your left-hand side, just past the junction with Great George Street. Car parks are situated nearby.
M60 (from East) — leave at Junction 17 signposted Prestwich and Whitefield. Turn left on to the A56 (Prestwich/Salford/Manchester). Follow into Manchester. Turn right off A56 onto A576 (Great Cheetham Street West). Straight on to second roundabout. Turn left onto A6. Avoid inside lane. The Cathedral is on your left-hand side, just past the junction with Great George Street. Car parks are situated nearby.
From the North use M6, then follow M61 — just after Junction 3, the inside lane becomes the slip road signposted A580 Manchester. Stay in this lane and join the A580 which then becomes the A6 signposted Salford/Manchester.
M56 (from South) — after Junction 4 stay in inside lane and come off following signs for M60 signposted Stretford, Bolton, Leeds. After passing over ship canal bridge, with Trafford Shopping Centre on right, leave M60 at Junction 12 and follow signs for M602. Take the M602 and travel to the end of the motorway. Turn left towards Salford at the end of the M602 and right at the T junction onto Chapel Street and the Cathedral is on your left-hand side, just past the junction with Great George Street.
Parking is limited at the Cathedral but there are car parks nearby.

By rail
Salford Central Train station is the nearest station. The Cathedral is approx a 10-15 minute walk from the station. Turn left out of the station and walk to the corner of Bridge Street/Chapel Street. Turn Left on to Chapel street and the Cathedral is about a 5-10 minute walk straight ahead. You will find it on the right hand side of the street.
Manchester Victoria Station is the mainline station, there is a regular service to Salford Central. Turn left out of the station, left again onto Chapel Street and the Cathedral is a few minutes’ walk on the right-hand side. To walk from Victoria takes about 20 minutes.
Manchester Piccadilly is the central Manchester station. A taxi from there to the Cathedral will take around 15 minutes and will cost around £9. A five-minute walk from the railway station to the bus station at Piccadilly Gardens will bring you to many local services which stop at the Cathedral.
By bus

The National Express coach station is at Chorlton Street in the centre of Manchester, close to local bus stops and a short bus or taxi ride away from the Cathedral.
