Cathedral Restoration Open Day

Saturday 13th April 10am – 1pm
This is an opportunity to come and see behind the scenes of our exciting restoration project, learn more about the developments so far and what’s in store over the coming months.
There will be information stands, tours of the Cathedral and a chance to see some of the items we have found so far.
Tours will run at 10am, 11am and 12pm and will be on a first come, first served basis although we will do our absolute best to try and make sure everyone who wants to gets to see inside.
Please note these are not hard hat tours but low level tours into the main body of the Church. The floor can be uneven so please wear sensible closed toe footwear.

Please note:
- As the cathedral is currently a “live” construction site, it is important that suitable clothing and footwear are worn for the visits.
- Legs must be covered and no loose clothing.
- Access to the scaffold will not be offered as part of the event.
- Attendees should be comfortable with uneven flooring, if you have any accessibility concerns please contact us.
