Throughout our restoration journey, we have had the privilege of working with industry leaders Simpsons of York, specialists in heritage and conservation. Their expert construction team have worked tirelessly over the three years to restore lost features to our cathedral, whilst employing modern standards and technologies to ensure the longevity and sustainability of the building.
From deploying close to 42,000 man hours in the erect and dismantle of the scaffolding, to hundreds of tonnes of recycled site materials, it has been fascinating to hear from Project Manager Neil Moss about some of what goes into a project like this. Click the image below to enlarge and read more.
