Bide me come to you above,

With the saints to sing your love.

We entered into Holy Week with the triumphant procession of Palm Sunday which so soon led to the conniving of the death of Jesus. This is the week when we celebrate the word’s redemption through the death and resurrection of Jesus. The events which changed the entire universe.

 

“For this reason we, who have been made like to him,

who have died with him and risen with him, are taken up into the mysteries of his life, until we reign together with him.”

Lumen Gentium:7;4

 

In this week we give thanks for the Gift of Eucharist. We mourn as we gaze with reverent sorrow on the suffering and dead Christ. We wait in quiet expectation for Holy Saturday to explode onto the light and joy of the resurrection.

 

During this Holy Week I can enter into the death and resurrection of Jesus in these ways….

 

As I meditate on the mystery of God’s love I pray especially….
