We would like to introduce and welcome Rev Stephen Scott who was recently appointed to the Salford Cathedral as permanent deacon.
Deacon Stephen was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate in July 2010 in the diocese of Lancaster and recently relocated from Whitehaven in West Cumbria to Manchester, along with his wife Ann, to be nearer to their immediate family. Stephen is the First Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Salford.
Rev Stephen has joined the Cathedral staff and in addition to fulfilling his diaconal duties Stephen will be leading and supporting on parish catechesis, evangelisation & pastoral care and the celebration of the sacraments & divine worship. Stephen will also be supporting the diocesan development of the Permanent Diaconate.
Please pray for Rev Stephen as he settles in to his new role in the life of the parish.
