He was a parishioner of the St. Peter Catholic Church at Agona in the Konongo Mampong Diocese under the pastoral care of Most Rev. Joseph Osei Bonsu.

Fr Ignatius started School at the Gospel international School and Interbeton Junior Secondary school. His senior secondary education was at Seventh Day Adventist Secondary School, Agona. After his secondary education, he started the Post Secondary Seminary formation at St. Joseph Minor Seminary at Mampong for a year.
